It's the middle of winter in Lofoten. Just outside of Kabelvåg, there is a place where people don't live any more. There is a few abandoned buildings here, and they are in remarkable good shape. People must be maintaining the houses, even no one lives there any more.

It must have been hard to live here in the old days. The cold wind comes in directly from the North Sea, and there is only a few patches where grass can grow. It seems that here in Norway, every green spot on the coast where used, and you can find old houses almost anywhere. Today people have moved away, but some houses are being maintained so we can remember our history.
