Kongsmarka, or The Kings Field in English, is an area behind the town of Svolvær in Lofoten. It's a popular excursion spot for many people, and you can see some of them as black spots on the frozen lake skiing.

 

It's so strange to see the mountains covered with all that snow. They loose their rock hard appearance, and get a soft fluffy look. You just want to get up there and ski down the slopes. But it's just far too much work to get up there. :-)

 

I did a little cheating when taking these pictures. You can actually drive up to where I'm standing. So I didn't climb up a mountain or anything. But it's not a bad view for driving 10 minutes away from town.
